The blessed person of verses 1 and 2 shows up again in verse 3. They are further defined as those who “do not work unrighteousness. The blessed person does not habitually walk in darkness or work unrighteousness in their lives. This doctrine is more fully defined in New Testament Scripture, particularly in 1 John, where authentic Christianity is detailed, but is also found in the Old Testament.
Word Study
Also – in addition to, moreover, and this too.
Work – to do, to work, to perform, labor.
Unrighteousness – iniquity (immorality), injustice, wrong behavior, wickedness.
Walk – proceed, walk, live, to go, one’s manner of life.
His Ways – road, path, journey, manner, conduct, course of life.
In Old Testament times, a path or road was vitally important to all areas of life, including travel, trade, and employment. Therefore, this terminology highlights that choosing a path is serious business and equally important to walk that path correctly.
We do not carve out our path because that only leads to sin and destruction. We walk in the path that God has tread for us.

Praying This Daily Bite
Father, convict me to walk in your ways and reject unrighteousness. Lord, help me grow in holiness as I study and submit to your Word. I thank you for those times you have directed my path (Call out some times this has happened and thank God for it). Lord, as I study your word, help me to be willing to make changes where needed.
